Hon. Mama Salma Kikwete attends OAFLA 8th General Meeting in
Kampala, Uganda. July 26, 2010

WAMA Chairperson, Hon. Mama Salma Kikwete is
now attending the 8th Ordinary General Assembly of OAFLA that
takes place in Kampala, Uganda from the 25th – 27th July 2010
alongside with the African Union Heads of State Summit. Mama
Kikwete is also accompained by WAMA staff namely: Mr. Daudi
Nasib, WAMA Executive Secretary and Mrs. Neema Mhada, WAMA Health
Promotional Officer.

The 8th General Assembly will discuss on the issues of Maternal,
Infant and Child Health as well as Institutional Structure and
Human Resources Requirements of OAFLA Secretariat, Also, the
first ladies will have the opportunity to share experience on
the topics presented and there will be an election of the secretariat
leadership.
The overall goal of OAFLA is to reinforce policies and programs
against HIV/AIDS through advocacy, resource mobilization and
development of partnerships with all stakeholders at all levels.
Since its establishments most of the campaign adressing HIV/AIDS
on women and children have been successfully conducted in many
African countries. |
