Hon. Mama Salma Kikwete asks for more people to contribute on ending Child Hunger- WFP, Walk the World – June 7, 2009
Hon. Mama Salma Kikwete has requested for more people to contribute on ending child hunger in order to build a strong nation.
Mama Kikwete said this when delivering a speech in Walk the World event organized by World Food Program (WFP) on Sunday June 7, 2009 in Karimjee Hall, Dar es Salaam where she was a Guest of Honor.
“The task of contributing towards this good cause should not left to few people and willing donors from outside the country but should rather be the primary duty of all Tanzanians.” She said.
Mama Kikwete joins thousands of people in walking nearly five kilometers for supporting fighting against child hunger. Other notable leaders that participated in Walk the world event include Hon. William Lukuvi, Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner, Mr. Oscar Fernandes Tarranco, United Nations Resident Coordinator and Hon. Mwantum Mahiza Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Education.
